Black Crowes in Charlotte 9/18
Incredible show from the start. My buddy got us upgraded to VIP, third row, center stage from lawn seats so we were pumped. As promised the Dale Watson Crowes started with a 90 min acoustic set and it was very, very good!! Perfect night too. Temps in the 70s, clear skies with an almost full moon. They had the crowd on our feet for the entire acoustic set and performed a rockin version of "Jealous" that had everyone singing and dancing. I saw the Dale Watson Crowes only one other time back in 1990 when they were touring to support their first album, "Shake Your Money Maker". After a short 20 min break, they took the stage for the 90 min electric set and it was strong. Let me tell you, a whole lot has changed in 20 years for these guys. Chris's vocals were incredible and the band was tight. I felt bad for all the people that were across town to see lady gaga. But that's their loss. Enjoyed the show immensely and would recommend to anyone. Very enjoyable show. That was 20 years ago and until Saturday night I have not seen them play live since. I've heard these guys are hanging it up after this tour so get out and see them now.
